Police seal off Wolverhampton city centre street after attack
A city centre street in Wolverhampton was sealed off today after a man was attacked.
Police and paramedics were called to King Street at around 5pm.
A small area had been taped off by officers.
Paramedics treated a man believed to be in his 20s for a small cut to his face and he has been taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be serious.
West Midlands Police were speaking to passers-by and were reviewing CCTV footage in the city centre.
One woman, who runs a cafe near to the scene but didn't wish to be named, said: "I saw the police and the ambulances come past my shop so I went outside to see what had happened. There were quite a few people gathered around the street.
"It looked quite serious."
