Drugs worth £3,000 recovered in midnight raid on Black Country bar

Four men were arrested and drugs worth £3,000 were recovered when police launched a midnight raid on a Tipton bar today.

Triple S Bar in Bradleys Lane, Tipton, was searched following a tip-off that drugs were being used and sold at the premises.

The bar has now been shut down while its licence is reviewed.

Those arrested were: A 22-year-old man from Coseley for possession of cocaine

A 35-year old man from Bilston for possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs

A 17-year-old lad from Tipton for possession of Class B drugs

A 28-year-old man from Walsall for possessing an offensive weapon.

Insp Akeel Najib, from Sandwell Police, said: "Officers had received information that drugs were being used and sold at the club, which led to the operation at just after midnight today . The licensee has agreed to close the premises while we now review the licence."
