Man back in prison after Wednesbury pub toilets attack

A man is back behind bars after a Wednesbury pub-goer was left needing facial surgery following an alleged pub assault.

Michael Pennings, 24, was wanted by police over an attack on a 30-year-old man in the toilets of the Woden Inn pub in Church Hill.

The man suffered serious facial injuries which required surgery at hospital, following the assault which happened at around 10pm on Saturday, November 23.

Pennings was also wanted on recall to prison for a breach of licence conditions.

He was spotted in a car parked in the Pelsall area of Walsall yesterday by officers on foot patrol, leading to his arrest.

Pennings was bailed in connection with the alleged wounding and has been returned to prison following the revocation of his licence.
