Teenagers face trial for Cradley Heath mosque trouble
Six teenagers will stand trial over racially-aggravated offences and criminal damage to a car near a mosque.
The six boys, aged 14 to 17, face a total of 18 charges after worshippers at Cradley Heath Central Mosque in Plant Street were allegedly targeted in October last year.
A 17-year-old is charged with three racially-aggravated assaults between October 16 and 24 and causing criminal damage to a vehicle on October 21. Two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old face charges of racially-aggravated assault and harassment and criminal damage to the same vehicle
Another 15-year-old has been charged with criminal damage and a 14-year-old has been charged with racially-aggravated harassment.
Each pleaded not guilty at Sandwell Magistrate Court yesterday and will stand trial on April 29.
