Three jailed over £35,000 Co-op raids across region
Three robbers who raided Co-op stores across the West Midlands and Shropshire were this afternoon jailed.
Amandeep Singh, Jani Wright and Ryan Shaw, all from Birmingham, stole almost £35,000 in their spree which targeted 15 shops around the region.
At Stafford Crown Court today, Singh, 25, of Salisbury Road, Birchfield, and Shaw, 20, of Sedgebourne Way, Northfield, were jailed for four-and-a-half years each.
Wright, 25, from Conybere Street, was sentenced to five years. They will serve at least half of their terms before being considered for release on licence.
They were jailed after previously admitting conspiracy to rob. The stores which were targeted included Co-op stores in Kidderminster, Walsall, Cheslyn Hay, Telford, Coven and Bridgnorth.
Singh admitted two offences; Wright pleaded guilty to 10 charges and Shaw admitted nine offences.
