Sandwell Council's cabinet member for trading standards Councillor Paul Moore said: "Our team seized up to £75,000 worth of suspected illegal cigarettes and counterfeit goods.

Staff found hundreds of sleeves of cigarettes and packs of rolling tobacco, some thought to be fake and others believed to have been illegally imported, as well as suspected counterfeit T-shirts and perfume.

Trading standards officers are now investigating the find. No arrests have been made."
