Georgia Williams murder: Killer Jamie Reynolds' sick collection of violent death images
Murderer Jamie Reynolds was 'a sexual deviant of an extreme kind' with a 'morbid fascination' with violent pornography, a court today heard.
Before killing Georgia Williams, he had had taken innocent photographs of girls from social networking sites and added ropes around their neck and sexual obscenities.
Details of Georgia's last moments were revealed as pictures were shownto the judge taken by Reynolds after killing her. Georgia's family were so upset they fled the court room today.
Police searching Reynolds' home discovered 16,800 pornographic images, 72 extreme videos and 40 obscene stories written by him, it was revealed.
The court heard he had taken innocent photographs of girls from social networking sites and had added ropes around their neck and sexual obscenities.
On one he had written "no please don't hang me, too late, you hang until dead".
Prosecuting Mr David Crigman QC told Stafford Crown Court: "The predominant theme is a fatal assault on a woman."
He said the stories Reynolds had written ended with "getting a rope around the girl's neck". He added: "That was what he did to Georgia Williams. He hanged her in his home."
The court heard he and Georgia were part of a wider group of friends and she had had no reason not to trust him.
Mr Crigman requested reporting restrictions to secure the anonymity of women whose evidence was to be heard to "spare various witnesses from substantial distress, trauma and embarrassment".
Reynolds is to be sentenced to life in prison during the two-day hearing which started today, but the judge must decide how long he can remain in jail before applying for parole. He had previously denied murdering the 17-year-old Georgia at his home in Avondale Road, Wellington, on Sunday, May 26. But later changed his plea to guilty.
Georgia was last seen at 7.30pm on May 26. When she did not return home, a nationwide search was mounted for sightings of her. Reynolds was arrested on May 30 at a budget hotel in Glasgow on suspicion of kidnapping her. Georgia's body was found in woodland on the Nant-y-Garth pass, in North Wales, near Wrexham, five days after she disappeared.
Photographs is known to have visited a cinema in Wrexham as he went on the run and was seen shopping in H&M in Glasgow.
In the dock today, he spoke only to confirm his name.
The court heard that Reynolds had '46 story lines of sexual violence and death stored on his phone.' Victims in the stories were local girls known to him.
Mr Crigman said that in hanging Georgia, Reynolds wanted to 'watch her dance at the end of his rope. She fought for air and survival,'
He said that Reynolds lured Georgia to his home on the pretence of a photo shoot, but was actually a trap.
The court was told that Reynolds' parents knew of his obsession with pornography and had tried to limit his internet access.
In a statement following Reynolds' guilty plea, the Williams family said: "The pain we feel is as raw now as it was when our beautiful Georgia was taken from us back in May.
"We will never ever be able to make any sense of what happened, or why it happened to a young woman as caring, kind and generous as our Georgia.
"The guilty plea gives us no satisfaction at all; we do not and will never understand the heartbreaking events of earlier this year that changed our lives for ever."
