Man charged over death of vicar and wife in Oldbury
A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in which a church minister and his wife died.
Rev John Bedford and wife Audrey were killed when their Volvo collided with an Audi in Oldbury in May.
Police today confirmed they have charged a 23-year-old man from Birmingham in connection with the crash.
Damon Richardson, of Church Hill, Frankley Green, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, possession of a Class A drug and fraud by failing to disclose information. He has now been bailed by police
Mr Bedford led Kings Community Church on Tame Road and George Road. He also served at Londonderry Baptist Church in Oldbury, and baptist churches in Bewdley and Coseley.
