Police knife crime warning after three schoolchildren stabbed
Three schoolchildren have been stabbed in two separate attacks becoming the latest victims of knife crime in the region.
A 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the back in Bloxwich while two boys were knifed in a Smethwick park when a fight broke out.
Police today said knife crime was a priority and they would take action against anyone carrying a blade.
Staff at Bloxwich Leisure Centre raised the alarm when the injured 14-year-old staggered into reception on Friday night. She has had surgery for her injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Police officers cordoned off the centre's car park and tracked the suspect behind the nearby Railway pub 50 minutes later.
A 16-year-old boy from Leamore was arrested on suspicion of wounding the girl with the intention of causing grievous bodily harm and has been bailed.
Meanwhile, two boys aged 14 and 15, have been stabbed in Victoria Park. They were with friends when approached by another group of 10 youths and a row broke out. One boy suffered a stab wound to his stomach and the other received a deep cut across his hand. The attack took place at around 4.30pm on November 3 but has just now been revealed by police.
Dc Roland Stuttard said: "At this stage neither of the victims of this attack is co-operating with us but we are determined to find out exactly what happened.
"Knife crime continues to be a priority for us and I want to remind everyone that it is illegal to carry a knife in public."
The stabbing are the latest on Midland teenagers this year. In March, Halesowen schoolgirl Christina Edkins, aged 16, was stabbed to death on a bus while on her way Leasowes High School.
In September, two teenagers died within days in two separate attacks in Birmingham.
