Man denies Halesowen Asbo breach
A man has appeared in court accused of criminal damage in his home town and breaching an Asbo.
Creagan Piesley, aged 20, is alleged to have sprayed graffiti over door shutters at an architectural ironmongers shop in Halesowen, Dudley Magistrates' Court heard.
Piesley, of Hedgefield Grove in Coley Gate, Halesowen, is also accused of breaching an anti-social behaviour order which banned him from holding spray paint in public. The two-year Asbo was imposed on him after he was convicted of shoplifting and criminal damage in November 2011.
At the hearing yesterday, Piesley denied both charges and the case was adjourned.
Mr Mark Cooper, prosecuting, said police saw four people spraying graffiti on the shutters to the shop called Inspired in Long Lane on August 31 at 9.55pm.
Piesley's Asbo expires on November 16. But magistrates imposed conditions to his bail which mean he will not be able to carry any spray on marker pens in public until he reappears before them. His trial will be at Dudley Magistrates' Court on December 9.
Piesley's court appearance comes a week after dozens of homes, businesses and cars in the Howley Grange estate of Halesowen were targeted with graffiti. Piesley has not charged in connection with that graffiti.
