Four robberies have taken place in Wolverhampton and Darlaston in the past month where victims have been threatened by a man wielding what appeared to be a gun hidden in a bag.

They today released these CCTV images as they appeal for information.

The first robbery happened just after 9.30pm at the One Stop store in Middleway Green, Stowlawn, on August 31. The robber struck again just before 9pm on September 17 at Coral Bookmakers in Highfields Road, Bradley. More cash was stolen from Mecca Bingo on Spring Vale Industrial Park at 7.30pm on September 23 and he struck again two days later just after 11am at Rough Hay Post Office, in Hall Street, Darlaston.

Det Insp Pete Dunn said: "We believe that the same man could have committed all four offences and there is a strong possibility that he will strike again, so we need to find him as a matter of urgency, therefore we are appealing to the public to help us catch him.

"We are scouring CCTV from the areas around the robberies and extensive house to house enquiries are being conducted. Although the man's face was covered, he is described as white, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 8ins tall and of stocky build."
