Harrowing call of Wolverhampton rubbish chute baby father

A harrowing 999 call made by a husband whose six-day-old baby daughter was allegedly dropped down a rubbish chute at flats in Wolverhampton was played to a jury.

Mother Jaymin Abdulrahman denies attempting to kill the baby. She told husband Mohamad Amin their daughter was taken by two men, Birmingham Crown Court was told.

Jurors heard yesterday that Kurdish national Abdulrahman claimed two men covered her mouth and ran inside her house to steal the child, while she was putting out the rubbish from their flat in Whitmore Reans.

During the recording Abdulrahman husband is heard saying 'someone stole my baby' and sobbing. At says that he's making the call while weaving through traffic.

Abdulrahman, whose address cannot be reported, also denies causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The trial continues.
