Police officer pinned between two vehicles
A police officer was pinned between two vehicles when a car rammed into another in Kidderminster today.
The officer suffered knee and arm injuries after the incident this morning.
Two men were seen acting suspiciously in an alleyway in Stoney Lane, near the Tesco Express in Stourbridge Road, at 9.30am, West Mercia Police said.
Officers were called to the scene. But an Audi was reversed into a police vehicle, trapping one officer between the two.
The driver of the police vehicle suffered cuts and bruises. The men fled the scene and were arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Nearby Holy Trinity School in Birmingham Road was told to keep its doors locked while officers searched the grounds.
Supt Kevin Purcell of West Mercia Police said: "At no time was there a threat to any of the children or staff."
