Suspect charged over Tipton police officer stabbing
A man has appeared in court accused of attempting to stab a police officer in Tipton.

Ashley Davies, aged 28, appeared at Sandwell Magistrates Court yesterday charged with attempting to wound Pc Christopher Wilmot.
The alleged attack happened on Monday at an address on Churchfield Avenue in Tipton.
He is accused of using a steak knife to try and stab PC Wilmot in the stomach.
Davies, of Richard Street, West Bromwich, has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 21.
