Man critical after Wednesbury pub attack
A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after he was attacked outside a Wednesbury pub.
The 20 -year-old suffered serious head injuries during the attack outside the Woden Pub on Church Hill at around 7.30pm yesterday. He is currently in a critical but stable condition.
The road remained cordoned off today and forensic tent has been erected in the site of the attack.
Grandmother of three Bev Williams has lived in Church Hill for the past year. The 54-year-old said: "I was wide awake and i heard banging at 2am. I couldn't tell where it was coming from.
"I looked out my window at 2.45am and I could see a police car. Then when I woke this morning the whole area was cordoned off."
Police enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses should contact Force CID on 101.
