Thieves take flight as 75 pigeons taken in Black Country burglaries

Scores of pigeons have been stolen in burglaries in the Black Country, police have revealed.

A total of 75 birds which are believed to be worth hundreds of pounds were taken during two break-ins in Walsall.

The first happened in Joynson Street, Darlaston, over Easter when a mixture of 60 birds went.

They are believed to be worth some £1,200.

The most recent was in Dawson Street, Blakenall. Fifteen pigeons were taken from there on Tuesday.
