Asbo for Oldbury thugs in a five-year long terror campaign

Five thugs who led a campaign of terror through the streets of a Black Country town have been hit with a two-year anti-social behaviour order in an effort to dissolve their gang.

One of the men is said to have held a gun to a resident's head and uttered the words: "Now you know what it's like to have a gun to your head."

Another justified an assault at a restaurant as 'within reason' because he'd waited longer than 30 minutes for food.

It came following a five-year reign of terror in Oldbury that included claims of one of the men attempting to throw a bollard from a motorway bridge onto the M5, another hitting a woman with a chair at a McDonald's restaurant and allegations that threats were made to kill the family of a supermarket worker.

James Evans, aged 24, Scott Cotterill, aged 18, Michael Griffiths, aged 19, Steven Griffiths, aged 20, and Jamie Price, aged 20 were banned from entering areas of Oldbury and Quinton at the hearing at Sandwell Magistrates Court yesterday.
