Wolves fans arrested over trouble at Nottingham match
Three Wolves fans have been arrested following disturbances at today's game with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed one arrest was for an away fan letting off a flare inside the stadium and two further arrests were for section 5 public order offences.
It was reported prior to the game some 200 Wolves fans gathered in a Wetherspoons pub in Market Square in Nottingham city centre.
Police then planned to escort the group two miles from the city centre to the City Ground but while doing so a smoke bomb was set off by one visiting supporter.
Nottinghamshire Police spokesman Paul Coffey said: "During this police escort a smoke bomb was set off but no arrest was made at the time. After the game started three arrests were made. One was for a visiting supporter setting off a flare and two were related to section 5 public order offences for abuse towards stewards."
Wolves lost the game 3-1.
