Two arrested in Halesowen murder investigation after man stabbed to death
A murder investigation was under way today after a man was stabbed to death in the Black Country.
Two men have been arrested after violence flared at a house in Halesowen last night.
Police were called to the house on Graham Road at about 9pm after neighbours reported a disturbance.
When they arrived, they found the door had been forced open and a man was collapsed inside with stab injuries.
Paramedics tried to revive him but he died as a result of the injuries. His family have been informed and are being comforted by specially-trained officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jones, from the Force Criminal Investigation Department, said two men had been arrested.
A 49-year-old is in custody on suspicion of murder and another, aged 28, on suspicion of using violence to secure entry to premises.
Mr Jones today appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to help with the investigation.
"A man has lost his life in what appears to be an argument amongst people known to one another at the home of one of the men," he added.
"The address has been sealed off and will be the subject of extensive forensic work today to determine further detail of exactly what happened last night.
"We urge anyone who knows anything that may help our investigation to come forward at their earliest opportunity."
Extra officers will be patrolling the area today to provide reassurance to neighbours.
Anyone with information can call CID at Bloxwich on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
