Man in court over Dudley road rage incident

A 25-year-old man has appeared in court accused of a road rage incident which left a Dudley father-of-three seriously injured.

Samuel Pagett, of Cot Lane, Kingswinford, allegedly attacked Paul Currie on Sunday afternoon.

He appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court yesterday accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was bailed to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on April 9.

Mr Currie, aged 40, of Holly Hall, was walking home from a darts match when the alleged attack happened.

He underwent an operation at the QE Hospital, Birmingham, to remove a blood clot from his brain. He is now out of his coma.
