Rival drug dealers in Wolverhampton are raiding their competitors' cannabis factories to steal the plants.

Five men have been arrested after targeting secret drug dens in Whitmore Reans, police revealed today.

A cannabis factory containing 20 plants was turned over in Evans Street as part of the drug wars.

However, the home of an innocent 55-year-old man has also been mistakenly broken into, with the raiders still deciding to steal his possessions.

West Midlands Police said the five men, two aged 20, two aged 16 and one 18-year-old, have been released on police bail. It is hoped the arrests will now put a stop to the problem.

A dedicated drugs investigation team that was set up earlier this year is uncovering around 10 large-scale cannabis farms every week across the West Midlands.
