Stourbridge femme fatale stabbed student in the back during sex
A woman who stabbed a university student in the back during a sexual encounter on a one-night stand has been jailed for 27 months.
Emily Goode, whose victim was forced to flee from her home by clambering over a shed, committed the offence after her life had fallen into a two-year "maelstrom" of heavy drinking and drug-taking, Wolverhampton Crown Court heard.
Goode, aged 28, from Brierley Hill, met the student, whose full name was not given to the court, in a pub in Stourbridge, in October last year.
Prosecutor Mr Richard Franck said the victim regarded her as friendly and flirty after chatting to her at about 1.45am.
After taking a taxi to Goode's home in Brompton Drive, the victim sat on a sofa as she undressed.
Goode then reached for a knife, the court heard, and began running the blade up and down the student's chest.
But Goode then went on to scratch the victim's body with the knife before stabbing him twice in the back through his shirt as they had sex.
The victim, who had to take pain-killers for three weeks, managed to escape from the rear of Goode's house after finding the front door locked.
He alerted police shortly after 4am and Goode was arrested.
Defence barrister Mr Simon Rippon said: "Very plainly, she wasn't thinking straight."
Mr Rippon said that alcohol and cocaine abuse by Goode had been symptoms of an underlying psychiatric problem.
Goode was also sentenced for injuring a policeman with a shard of pottery during an incident in Trefoil Gardens, Amblecote, Stourbridge, in May.
Goode, who admitted two counts of wounding, was told by Judge John Warner: "There came a time when you stabbed this man twice in the back – that's obviously a very serious thing to do."
