Firefighters battle to douse fire

The wreckage of Carvers warehouse was still burning today and could continue into tomorrow with firefighters battling flames in an "extremely dangerous environment."

Efforts to piece together the cause of the dramatic fire which ripped through the building yesterday are on hold until the flames are completely out.

The collapsed building is too unsafe to allow anyone inside meaning fire chiefs are having to direct their efforts from outside and from above using two hydraulic platforms.
