The office and shop premises at Jerome Chambers, 16-16a Bridge Street is being sold by Walsall Council.

The property is in need of refurbishment throughout, but has potential for redevelopment. The premises are listed for sale in Bond Wolfe’s livestreamed auction on Thursday, February 6.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive at Bond Wolfe, said: “Jerome Chambers sits in the heart of Walsall Town Centre and is just a couple of minutes’ walk from Park Street, the prime retail pitch in the town.

“A three-storey terraced office building with shop premises on the ground floor, it occupies a prominent position on the southern side of Bridge Street.

“Like many buildings in Walsall it has attractive Art Deco features, including a distinctive front door and a trio of lion heads above the top floor windows.

“We are selling this vacant property on behalf of Walsall Council. It may be suitable for redevelopment, subject to planning permission.

“We would advise any interested parties to make their own enquiries with Walsall Council Planning Department to satisfy themselves of any future use they may propose.”

At present the ground floor is laid out with a hall, storage or server cupboard, a retail floor area, WC and a storage room with a wash hand basin.

On the first floor, off the landing, is an office, a meeting room, a store and a further office/work space. On the second floor are four more offices, a storeroom with wash hand basin and a male and female WCs.

Offers for the property may be considered before the auction.

Jerome Chambers will be among scores of lots appearing in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which is due to start at 8.30am on Thursday 6 February.
