Truckman prepares to open its doors to the public for Covid-secure sales and fittings
Truckman, the leading manufacturer and distributor of hardtops and 4x4 accessories, is preparing to welcome customers into its headquarters when it reopens a key part of its business in line with the easing of coronavirus restrictions later this month.
For the first time since the summer of last year, Truckman will offer its professional accessory fitting service to the general public in line with the lifting of restrictions, which are earmarked for April 12.
Having implemented a series of stringent health and hygiene measures, retail customers will be able to bring their vehicles to Truckman’s Dudley headquarters, where its four-bay fitting operation is based, and be able to relax and safely in Truckman’s spacious waiting area.
It will enable Truckman’s team to provide its expert personal service to customers, which has been prevented by the most recent lockdown, while its team of experienced technicians deliver the fitting service.
Bookings are currently being taken following an influx of retail customer enquiries, particularly from those planning staycations this summer once the final restrictions are expected to be lifted in June.
Pick-up truck owners are preparing to add items such as hardtops, towbars and additional security and safety devices to their vehicles ready for their summer holidays in the UK.
Mike Wheeler, executive chairman of Truckman, said: “The lifting of restrictions will enable us to reopen our fitting service to the public, helping prepare their vehicles for when they can start to venture further from home and explore the country from the summer.
“We have ensured the highest levels of hygiene and safety measures at our premises to give our customers confidence when they bring their vehicle to us for accessory fitting and look forward to again being able to welcome them to Truckman.”
