Dedicated Ashley voted employee of the year

Business development manager Ashley Ratcliff has been named employee of the year after receiving an overwhelming number of nominations from fellow staff at Wolverhampton-based PCB Care and its sister company inTouch Home Care.

The 37-year-old was praised for the exceptional level of support he has provided to both management teams and key workers.

Managing director John Coyne, who presented him with £250 worth of gift vouchers, said Ashley was an overwhelmingly popular choice as employee of the year – reflecting his cheerful can-do attitude and willingness to share his expertise and knowledge in support of his co-workers.

He added: “The pandemic has created many challenges over the past 12 months within the care sector, but Ashley has worked tirelessly with our teams in Wolverhampton to ensure we continue to provide a responsive and quality service.”

Specialist health and social care recruiter PCB Care has more than 30 years’ experience in the sector. Headquartered in Chester, with offices in Wolverhampton and London, it uses best practice and its own in-house training service to ensure its workforce is prepared to meet the complexities of the care market.

InTouch Home Care, with offices in Wolverhampton, Coventry and London, is a regulated care provider whose professional care workers deliver compassionate and friendly support in the community – ranging from those with complex needs to people requiring assistance with daily living activities.

Ashley, from Worcestershire, who is a registered care manager, joined the company more than six years ago, He works closely with the senior management team to support the business across its sales, recruitment, and training functions.

He said: “I’m very humbled to receive this award which, while it can only be presented to one person, is deserved by every single person connected with this business. The ethos of PCB Care and InTouch Home Care has always been about delivering exceptional service but during this pandemic going above and beyond is commonplace.

“That goes for our office staff having to adapt and change to meet new challenges or our front-line care staff, often having to work in difficult circumstances. Everyone can take pride in helping to support many of the most vulnerable in society.”
