Accountants backing Friends of Alfie Johnson

The Black Country-based charity is committed to helping children with disabilities through the purchasing of specialist equipment and by funding services that will enhance the quality of their lives.

JW Hinks has a long and proud history of supporting local causes by selecting a local charity to benefit from its fundraising.

Throughout the next two years, the team at JW Hinks, located in Edgbaston, will take part in a number of challenges and fundraising events, to help raise money to support the important work of the charity.

The firm’s first fundraising event took place at the weekend, with five members of the JW Hinks team; Bradley Adams, Amandeep Toor, Ben Butler, Neil Hale and Harvir Grewal all taking part in this year’s Great Birmingham Half Marathon as members of ‘Team Alfie’.

There are also plans in the pipeline for a number of other fundraising events throughout the next few months, including a bonfire night themed bake-off, Christmas jumper competition and a special breakfast event taking place in the New Year.

“We have lots of fundraising events planned to help us raise money for this wonderful cause and will be aiming to break our previous records for fundraising.”

Alfie’s father Paul Johnson said: “Our charity is overwhelmed to have been chosen by JW Hinks as their chosen charity, for the next two years. There are so many wonderful charities that need and deserve support, so to have been chosen by JW Hinks is a huge honour for us.

“We are very excited to be working alongside this wonderful firm, and we’re sure that the funds they raise over the coming two years will benefit many children with disabilities like Alfie.”
