Halesowen-based TotalKare supplies new updated forklift system to Rushlift
TotalKare, the Black Country-based heavy duty lifting equipment company, has supplied a new updated forklift system to Rushlift in Slough.
Rushlift, which is part of the $20 billion Doosan Group, provides various sized forklifts for rental and sale and approached TotalKare to explore options for a safer method of carrying out maintenance on their forklifts.
Previous maintenance methods had seen workers laid on the floor using blocks to slightly raise the forklifts to access the underside of the vehicle. This was an uncomfortable working position for operatives to carry out their work, causing back ailments on occasions and lost hours of work.
The forklift system from Halesowen-based TotalKare comprises two of its popular T8DC cable-free column lifts with infill plates and drive-on ramps to assist. This enables Rushlift to access the underneath of the forklift, whilst also providing wheel-free access – a key reason behind the decision to purchase.
Since the system can be stored away when not in use, it also frees up space within the workshop, ensuring the company makes best use of their working area.
Adam Bowser, area sales manager for TotalKare, said: “Our forklift application is a great solution for those with limited space in their workshops to carry out maintenance. Providing a live demonstration for Rushlift allowed it to see the application in situ, showcasing the many benefits it can provide.”
Alan Clark, group asset manager for Rushlift, added: “Using the mobile ramps allows us to have a safer environment for the engineers to maintain our material handling equipment.”
