New finance director for Tipton Building Society
Tipton and Coseley Building Society has announced the appointment of its new finance director.
Andy Lumby will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the society's finance department, treasury matters, budgetary control and financial forecasting, as well as helping shape future strategy through his board role and is a member of the Tipton's assets and liabilities committee.
Mr Lumby qualified as a chartered accounted in 2002 while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Before joining the society he gained 14 years experience at a large regional building society, most recently as a member of the senior leadership team where he was responsible for the finance, treasury risk and credit risk teams.
“I was attracted by the society’s focus on delivering personal service to members as well as its future strategic plans. There is a great deal to achieve in the years ahead and I look forward to using my past experience to help make a positive contribution to the society's future success," saidf Mr Lumby.
Richard Newton, the society’s chief executive, added: “Andy's industry knowledge, understanding of the workings of a large regional building society and proven track record will be a significant asset to the Tipton and we're delighted to have him on board."
