Businesswomen, and men, from across the region are being invited to attend the free event.

If Nobody Thinks You Can - Then You Have To will celebrate professional and inspirational women in the region and startsat 2pm on Thursday, March 5 in the Copthorne Hotel, Brierley Hill, with afternoon tea.

Speakers will include Sarah Cooper-Jones, regional director for corporate and commercial banking at NatWest, who was named advocate of the year at the Women in Finance Awards in 2019 and has been recognised for supporting females in senior levels whilst stamping out barriers to growth for women.

She will be joined by founder and chief executive of Absolute Collagen, beauty entrepreneur Maxine Laceby, who after discovering a collagen supplement she formulated in her kitchen at the age of 50, is now on track for a £10 million turnover in just three years, making Absolute Collagen one of the UK’S fastest growing direct consumer brands.

Lawyer, Jade Linton, a senior associate at Thursfields Solicitors, who was recently chosen to appear in a national campaign Project Embrace, will also be speaking.

The campaign, featured across 800 billboards around the country, challenges misconceptions and promotes diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, a topic that Jade champions.

The event is supported by BCRS Business Loans, NatWest, Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership and Absolute Collagen.
