The HR Lunch Club, organised by FBC Manby Bowdler, will examine new guidance on dress codes and sex discrimination, a recent case on gross misconduct and disability discrimination, and how businesses have coped with the introduction of GDPR.

The event takes place in the firm’s George Street office in Snow Hill, Wolverhampton from 12.45pm to 2pm. It is open to anyone who deals with employees at any level, from experienced in-house human resources managers to those with no HR experience.

Lawyers from the employment team will be on hand to answer any questions and a light lunch will be served.

Employment partner Tracy Worthington said: “GDPR has been a major issue for people who handle personal data and in particular for anyone who deals with HR so it will be interesting to look at the impact this has had, how people have dealt with the new regulations and to be able to share any hints and tips.

“As ever, we will discuss the latest developments in employment law and how it could impact on the employees together with any practical steps you should be taking in light of these changes."

Further HR Lunch Clubs will take place in August and November.
