Business Week chance to connect with European markets
The Department for International Trade (DIT) has joined forces with Wolverhampton Business Week organisers to set up a ‘Trading with Europe - Live’ event on Thursday, September 28.
Companies from any business sector are invited to speak to experts and one-to-one appointments can be booked with trade advisors based in European countries, who can matchmake businesses with suitable companies looking to trade with the UK.
The event will also showcase the range of live trading opportunities that exist in the automotive, aerospace, rail and construction sectors across Europe.
It takes place between 12.30pm and 4.30pm at Wolverhampton Racecourse, Gorsebrook Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 0PE.
Stefan Szabo, DIT head of international trade in the Black Country, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for SMEs to find out about market opportunities in Europe with the added advantage of actually engaging with market experts to discuss specific products and the potential opportunities.
“It is also a chance to meet with advisers to discuss routes to market, IP, export documentation and business culture. International Trade Advisers will be present to help identify and guide you through the next steps.”
Councillor John Reynolds, Wolverhampton council's economy chief, added: “We are delighted to have teamed up with the DIT for this Business Week event.
“It provides a great opportunity for businesses in and around the City of Wolverhampton to tap into a wealth of knowledge and contacts to help them grow.”
The Department for International Trade teams at their network of Embassies and Consulates and British Chamber of Commerce delivery partners act as a conduit to doing business, finding partners, sourcing supply chains and gaining knowledge on how each country’s business environment operates.
Businesses can benefit from live links to each country for an overview of opportunities, real advice from experienced local exporters, information on support available from local organisations, and fully facilitated, private, Skype meetings with in-country experts.
