Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal helps DFS launch 'biggest ever' armchair after Wednesbury visit
Following a visit by basketball star Shaquille O’Neal to DFS Wednesbury, he has partnered with the furniture brand as the new ambassador for recliner sofas, launching the biggest ever armchair.

In honour of the firm's commitment to help everyone ‘find their thing’, DFS has signed up larger-than-life personality Shaquille O’Neal to bring supersized comfort to the UK.
As the new ambassador for DFS recliner sofas his 'first order of business' is to introduce the new and exclusive XL La-Z-Boy recliner armchair to ensure that everyone, no matter their stature, can find ultimate comfort.
The 53-year-old, who stands at an impressive 7ft 1in, is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. 'Shaq' starred for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat between 1992 and 2008.
Although it’s clear that not many can match Shaq for size, the average height of men in the UK is, in fact, increasing. The new XL La-Z-Boy recliner armchair will ensure that all people over average height can relax comfortably at home, with every order handmade in Lancashire.
Shaq recently dropped by the DFS Wednesbury store to test out his bespoke XL La-Z-Boy armchair.
