Air Ambulance charity receives £9k boost thanks to Midlands savers
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has received a welcome boost, thanks to kind-hearted savers from the Tipton & Coseley Building Society.
The Tipton made a donation of £9,000, a sum based on the total balances held in its Midlands Air Ambulance Saver accounts during 2024.
The account is designed to help savers while supporting a good cause at the same time. Donations are made at the end of each year and come at no extra cost to savers.
Jon Cottrell, senior partnership executive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “It’s wonderful to see so many Tipton customers using their savings accounts to help make lifesaving missions possible.
“The charity does not receive funding from the government and relies entirely on the support of local people and businesses. Generous donations like this mean our clinical crews can be dispatched daily to patients who need enhanced care rapidly on-scene, before being taken to hospital.”
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is one of the longest established and busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK. It funds and operates three air ambulance helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars serving communities across the heart of England.
The Tipton’s partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity began in 2018. Since then, both the savings account and fundraising activities by colleagues have generated over £77,000, enough to fund 23 air ambulance missions and 27 critical care car missions.
