One of the leading education providers in the West Midlands, City of Wolverhampton College has stepped up from Gold level to take advantage of additional membership benefits with the region’s longest running business support organisation.

The Platinum Group is the Black Country Chamber of Commerce’s exclusive platform which brings together senior leaders to tackle the challenges which impact their organisation and to explore opportunities to improve the region’s prospects.

As well as joining regular peer discussions to gain perspectives from other sectors and build business relationships, The Platinum Group members receive a comprehensive business review identifying opportunities to grow along with a host of benefits including priority invites to strategic events.

Working with more than 700 employers each year, including a number of multinationals, the college offers a wide range of full-time career-focused vocational courses for school leavers, part-time courses for adult learners, and employability schemes for job seekers, as well as a comprehensive apprenticeship programme, specialist polymer training and skills bootcamps.

Principal and chief executive Louise Fall said: “We are delighted to upgrade to become part of The Platinum Group, building on the strong relationships we have established through our Chamber of Commerce membership to date.

“Working alongside the Black Country Chamber as a Platinum Group member will enable us to further promote skills and training in the region and to partner a wide variety of organisations while keeping up to date with local developments.

“As a successful organisation which is expanding its presence across the region, we now look forward to working with the Chamber team and The Platinum Group.”

Gail Arnold, head of premium membership at the Black Country Chamber, said: “I am very pleased to welcome City of Wolverhampton College to The Platinum Group.

“With skills and training remaining high on the agenda for businesses we value their membership and commitment to making a positive impact across the Black Country economy.”
