'A true leader in her field' - Midlands law firm partner bags law society award
A family law specialist from a Midlands firm has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award at a prestigious legal awards ceremony.

Claire Darley, a partner at FBC Manby Bowdler, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards. The event, which took place last Thursday (13 Feb) at the ICC Birmingham, celebrated exceptional legal professionals shaping the sector in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
This year’s awards, hosted by DJ and former Big Brother contestant PJ Ellis, saw a record number of submissions, making it the most competitive in its history, according to law society president Richard Port.
"Receiving the lifetime achievement award is an honour, and I feel deeply touched by this recognition from my peers and colleagues across the profession," said Claire.
"Throughout my career, I have been passionate about ensuring my clients receive the best possible outcomes, especially in the most challenging and emotionally charged situations in family law. I owe a thanks to FBC Manby Bowdler for their support and to the legal community for their encouragement and collaboration over the years."
Claire Darley joined FBC Manby Bowdler in 2021, bringing with her more than 23 years of experience in family law. As a Family Mediator and chair of the Family Law Committee of the Birmingham Law Society, Claire has set high standards of expertise and professionalism. She is widely recognised in esteemed legal directories such as Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners 2025.
