Recruitment agency set to launch logistics division after tapping up industry expert
One of the West Midlands’ leading recruitment agencies has launched a new ‘logistics’ division to help meet the increasing need for skilled drivers.
MET Recruitment, which has offices in Dudley town centre and on the Waterfront in Brierley Hill, has appointed industry expert Salvy Naccarato as its Transport Director to grow the new operation.
The aim is to tap into the latent need of existing industrial clients, as well as building up a pool of new customers serving couriers, logistics businesses and manufacturing firms with their own transport fleet.
Providing access to drivers with specialist skills in hiabs, tankers and waste disposal vehicles will be another major focus.

“We want to do things a little differently, only recruiting the very best drivers who have got the right attitude and the right skills,” said Salvy, who has more than twelve years’ experience in transport recruitment.
“This way we can build trust with the client that we’ll always deliver, and we’ll reward our temporary staff with the best possible working conditions and a constant source of employment across the Midlands.”
“I’m bringing all my vast industry experience and we’re wrapping this up with the MET brand, the MET best-practice processes, unrivalled customer service and the back-up of experienced consultants.
“The plan is to have 50 drivers on our books by the end of the year and a steady bank of customers who know they can trust us to fill their vacancy, a vacancy that oftens tends to be an emergency.”
MET Logistics operates out of the company’s Dudley town centre office and provides drivers for vans, HGVs and specialist vehicles across the Black Country, Birmingham, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Each candidate will be personally vetted face-to-face to ensure the highest possible quality selection and that all regulatory checks are completed, with the company offering a 24-hour service to all clients.
“It’s all about respect and treating our drivers in the right way so that we have a consistent pool of candidates that our customers can use in the short and medium-term - that’s the plan,” added Salvy.
“There has already been a lot of interest from existing MET clients and from companies who have been let down by other agencies. We’ll be tapping into this straight away, as well as looking to convert some early-stage discussions we’re having with courier and distribution firms.
“Success in the first year would be establishing our brand in the marketplace and the recruitment of a couple of consultants to support our activity.”
MET Recruitment, which employs 22 people, celebrated its 15th anniversary of providing temporary and permanent staff in 2023.
Matthew Hunter, Industrial Director, said: “Launching our logistics division seemed a logical next step for the business and we’re delighted to welcome someone of the pedigree of Salvy to help us shape and deliver the offer.
“His knowledge of the sector will be invaluable, and he has blended in perfectly with the rest of the MET team.”
