Dudley based care provider receives award for support of military community

A Dudley-based live-in-care provider has bagged a prestigious award after the company reaffirmed its commitment to the nation's armed forces community.

Bridgewater Home Care has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, as well as being awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze Award, which the firm says is "a testament to its dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace for veterans, reservists, and military families".

The public signing event, held at Army Reserve Centre in West Bromwich was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Davies, Chief of Staff at Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, Darren Knight, Regional Employer Engagement Manager Director for Defence Relationship Management and West Midland RFCA DRM/WMRFCA and Christopher Taylor, Managing Director at Bridgewater Home Care - who previously served in the RAF police -highlighting Bridgewater’s ongoing support for those who serve or have served in the armed forces.

"We are honoured to publicly sign the Armed Forces Covenant and stand alongside the men and women who serve our country," said  Christopher Taylor, MD at Bridgewater.

"Our commitment is more than words; it is about creating real opportunities and providing meaningful support for the armed forces community."

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award recognizes employers who actively demonstrate support for the armed forces community through their policies and practices. This prestigious award reflects Bridgewater Home Care’s ongoing efforts to create a workplace culture that values and respects the contributions of those with military experience.
