The two stores, set for the centre's lower retail park, come as B&M Bargains and Matalan both committed to extended ten-year leases leaving the retail park area almost at full capacity, bosses at the centre say.

The confirmed additions to Merry Hill’s retail park follow on the heels of a number of other brands that have chosen to locate themselves at the centre over the last year, including the UK debut of community driven fitness operator, XF Gym, and of technology and entertainment retailer, Harvey Norman, both of which have filled a significant portion of the former Debenhams space at the venue.

Earlier this month, bar and restaurant chain Loungers announced it was set to open a new branch in the Brierley Hill shopping destination, known as the Toledo Lounge.

"Merry Hill is going from strength to strength as we continue to add new exciting brands to the centre, while also seeing existing brands we know our visitors really value," said Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill.

"The upcoming addition of Bensons for Beds and Costa on our retail park is a great step forward for our customers and will transform this section of Merry Hill with more to announcements to come.

"The announcement comes as we continue to improve all parts of the centre, with even more retail, entertainment and dining options we know our visitors will love."
