Boost for Merry Hill as 'exciting' new cafe-bar and restaurant set to open next week

The Toledo Lounge will open at the Brierley Hill retail venue on Wednesday, January 29, becoming the West Country based chain's latest destination. 

The company operates over 240 venues in the UK, including the Lupo Lounge in Wolverhampton, the Novello Lounge in Telford and the Floro Lounge in Shrewsbury.

Toledo Lounge will be opening on the upper floor of the new leisure mall, and around 30 jobs will be created by the opening.

"Loungers has transformed the site with heavily patterned wallpapers, tiling and stripped wooden floors now feature alongside oversized vintage sofas, upholstered lounge chairs, eclectic artwork and statement wall and pendant lighting, creating a variety of cosy and elegant drinking and dining areas to choose from.  

"A real home-from-home, Toledo Lounge will cater for all tastes throughout the day with a varied and innovative all-day menu.  

"Whether it is a coffee with friends, a long lazy brunch with family or a relaxed dinner and drinks, Toledo Lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind in good company."

Toledo Lounge has also partnered with Team Pumpkin Amateur Boxing Club and will donate 50p from very burger and 20p from every coffee sold in the first month of trading to the charity.

Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill, said the centre's latest opening would be a boom to the venue's 'leisure quarter'.
