Shropshire businesses urged to be brave in 2025 as key to success
Shropshire businesses will need to be brave and ambitious to grow in 2025, according to a county consultancy with 15 years’ experience helping SMEs to scale.
Economic headwinds caused by the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Autumn budget were already showing their effects by the end of 2024 and are only likely to be amplified through this year, according to Newport-based Be Bold.
The firm, which works with businesses that are looking to grow aggressively or reposition in their markets, said there’s no doubt that 2025 will see businesses assessing their appetite for risk the coming year.
“We’ve supported clients through recessions, Covid and supply chain disruption after Brexit, and what we know is that the clients which invest in times of uncertainty win market share and come out stronger the other side," said Managing Director Amy Bould.
“The companies which are willing to be bold, if you’ll excuse the pun, and ambitious will reap rewards in this market.
"Those companies investing in activity which raises profile, enhances reputation and demonstrates they’re good employers, innovating, and doing the right things for the planet, people and places, will be the winners.”
Telford manufacturer Aviramp, one of Be Bold’s clients, is one of those companies looking to be brave and press ahead with growth even in challenging conditions.
Amy said: “Throughout 2024, we worked closely with Aviramp to position the company for its next stage of growth. In the space of nine months, we’ve grown its digital footprint, profile and reputation to unprecedented levels and now the company is poised to capitalise on that this year.”
Managing director Graham Corfield added: “Aviramp’s profile across the global aviation industry has never been greater, and that is all due to the work of the Be Bold team. They understood what we wanted to achieve and the strategy they put in place is working brilliantly.
“I have no doubt that the fantastic work Be Bold have produced is one of the factors behind Aviramp enjoying its best ever trading year in the last 12 months.”
Be Bold is heading into the new year with a raft of its own recent client and project wins.
They include one of the Midlands’ biggest constructor McPhillips (Wellington) Ltd, systems integration and automation solutions specialist Transicon and a 2025 return to the UK’s biggest inward investment showcase, UKREiiF, in Leeds with a public sector client.
The agency, which is located at the Midlands Innovation Centre in Edgmond, is also further extending its influence into the built environment sector through its expertise in strategic communications for SME housebuilders and developing its involvement with thinktank the Centre for New Midlands.
Amy added: "We've also taken a long hard look at ourselves in light of the changing landscape and we're ready to drive on with confidence in 2025 with a clear vision, a plan and excitement for what our future holds."
