Green upgrades worth £2.7m completed at Oldbury logistics firm
An Oldbury logistics firm's upgraded premises have re-opened after improvement works worth over £2.7m were completed.
Global freight specialist Masterfreight Ltd say they have completed the first phase of works on premises in Oldbury which were supported by a £2.74million funding package from NatWest and the bank’s asset finance partner Lombard.
The improvement works to AMK House include the installation of insulated cladding and improving the roof height of the building to aid in the fitting solar panels.
The company says this reflects the needs of new EPC legislation in maintaining and implementing a positive environmental impact and will bolster the business’ productivity and customer offering.
Family-run business Masterfreight have been trading for more than 20 years and employ more than 25 people with new roles expected to be created in the coming months.

Kishore Balu, Director of Masterfreight Ltd, runs the business alongside his wife Surinder and his daughter and son Alisha and Tony.

Masterfreight specialise in the import and export of cargo as well as offering specialist warehousing facilities. Services provided by Masterfreight include HM Customs clearance from major ports, transport to and from all seaports, airports and rail terminals, container unloading, warehouse storage, and export packing and global shipping through their extensive network by road, rail, air and sea.
They also offer next-day pallet networks delivery services for mainland UK, Ireland and Europe via Fortec Distribution and Pall-Ex Group Shareholder Members.
