The office and shop unit at Jerome Chambers on Bridge Street is listed with a guide price of £90,000 when it goes up for auction on Wednesday, December 11.

However commercial property agent Bond Wolfe says the office and shop premises is in need of refurbishment throughout.

“Jerome Chambers sits in the heart of Walsall town centre and is just a couple of minutes’ walk from Park Street, the prime retail pitch in the town," said Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive at Bond Wolfe.

“A three-storey terraced office building with shop premises on the ground floor, it occupies a prominent position on the southern side of Bridge Street.

“We are selling this vacant property on behalf of Walsall Council. It may be suitable for redevelopment, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.

“We would advise any interested parties to make their own enquiries with Walsall Council Planning Department to satisfy themselves of any future use they may propose.”

At present the ground floor is laid out with a hall, storage or server cupboard, a retail floor area, WC and a storage room with a wash hand basin.

On the first floor, off the landing, is an office, a meeting room, a store and a further office/work space. On the second floor are four more offices, a storeroom with wash hand basin and male and female WCs.

Offers for the property may be considered before the auction.

Jerome Chambers will go under the hammer at 8.30am on Wednesday December 11.
