Starting this week, the company added Prague and Hurghada in Egypt to its list of destinations served from Birmingham, with Krakow in Poland set to follow on Friday.
Hurghada is easyJet’s second Egyptian destination from Birmingham, with the company set to operate one service per week on Wednesdays throughout the winter.
The London Luton based airline also flew from Birmingham to Prague for the first time this week, with the route also set to run on Wednesdays with the addition of a second flight on Sundays to make it a twice weekly service between Czechia and the midlands.
Flights to Krakov will launch on Friday (November 15) and will provide a seven day per week service to Poland from Birmingham.
Andrew Pelham, Aviation Development Manager, Birmingham Airport said: "We’re delighted to be joining forces with easyJet to provide five new routes from its new Birmingham base, further strengthening our partnership."
"Whether customers are seeking a winter sun escape or a city break, these new destinations offer something for every type of traveller."
Since easyJet opened its new base at Birmingham Airport in March 2024, the airline has launched 22 new routes meaning 33 routes are now available from Birmingham International to destinations across Europe.
The airline has over 300 aircraft flying on nearly 1000 routes to more than 155 airports across 35 countries.
easyJet says the introduction of these five new routes shows "continuing strong demand" from easyJet customers in the Midlands.
“It’s fantastic to launch another five new services from Birmingham Airport, providing our customers across the Midlands with even more choice for a winter sun holiday or city break," said Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager.
“Now they can choose from flights to Marrakesh, Reykjavik, Hurghada, Prague and Krakow, as well as a wide range of easyJet holidays’ resorts, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard.”
In the years to 2033, Birmingham Airport says it plans to increase its annual passenger numbers to over 18 million, which will result in Gross Value Added to the region rising to £2.1bn and jobs supported to 34,000.
