Exhibition stand manufacturer Zero 1 Exhibitions Ltd has received a £5,000 grant from Walsall Business Support to invest in online marketing.

Established in 2001, the firm employs a team of 30 creative designers, strategy planners, in-house project and production managers and manufacturing and build craftsmen, specialising in the end-to-end design and installation of exhibition stands and commercial interiors.

Business funding organisation Walsall Business Support has awarded the grant to the company to help it invest in new webpages, social media advertising and email marketing.

Eduardo Arvelo, managing director and co-owner of Zero 1 Exhibitions, said: “We are extremely grateful for the grant, as it provides significant support to our objectives.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has brought substantial changes to our industry. Historically, we relied heavily on repeat customers, so marketing was not a primary focus. However, with businesses now tightening their budgets and reducing expenditures, we must reconsider our promotional strategies.

“This grant will be allocated towards enhancing our marketing efforts, particularly to increase our online presence. This will enable Zero 1 to reach new audiences and attract additional customers.

“Since moving to our new 23,000-square-foot manufacturing site in 2018, we have the capacity to take on more business, so our long-term objective is to expand the company and create more employment opportunities in this wonderful region of the country.”

Formed by leading local business figures to distribute funds collected from the legacy of Walsall Chamber of Commerce, Walsall Business Support provides grants to applicants who want funding for projects to enhance business life in the borough.

Walsall Business Support board member Rob Colbourne OBE said: “We are really pleased to be able to support Zero 1 Exhibitions with this funding.

“Zero 1 is an excellent example of a business looking to bring growth, skills and employment to the borough of Walsall, which is what our grants set out to support.

“It is great to see the company investing for the future, with a strategy to drive growth for the benefit of customers, suppliers and local people.”
