Once complete the Walsall Wood development will boast nine ‘sustainable and energy efficient’ employment units totalling 9000 square metres, ready for businesses to move in and fit out as needed.
There will also be 91 parking spaces including 14 disabled bays, 14 electric vehicle charging points and six visitor spaces. The existing access points will be blocked off and a new road will be constructed to reach the site from Lindon Road.
The latest proposal marks the second development to go ahead at the business park by JLE Ventured Ltd, the first one granted in March last year. Phase one included the development of a bespoke office/warehouse building and seven industrial terraced units.
Phase two will be immediately south of phase one. It will provide three, bigger, detached units and the remaining six smaller units would be grouped on the eastern side of the site. The appearance of phase two is expected to be similar to phase one.
In its planning statement, JLE Ventures Ltd wrote: “The development has been designed to ensure it remains a good neighbour – both to existing businesses and to residential properties along Lindon Road.
“The redevelopment of this allocated brownfield site will make a significant improvement to the social, environmental and economic conditions of the area.”
