'Shocked' chip shop owner hits out at hygiene inspector following one out of five rating
A chip shop owner has hit out at her local authority after her food business was given a one out of five hygiene rating.
Duke Fish Bar in Duke Street, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, was handed a one out of five rating following a hygiene inspection on Wednesday, September 20.
Now one of the co-owners, Jamina Saeed, has hit back saying that she is angry with Wolverhampton Council and the inspector as her shop is clean, and will not request a reinspection.
Food businesses are allowed to apply for a reinspection after paying a fee of £170 to their local council, but Jamina said she will not be doing this.
"Our shop is very clean, our customers are shocked and surprised at the rating because they know and see that we are clean," she said.
