SWG Group is based in Welshpool, traditionally operating in Mid Wales and Shropshire, and bosses say the opening of offices in Pendeford Business Park marks the “start of the next chapter” for the firm.

Jacqui Gough, SWG director, said major projects such as the refurbishment of Dudley Council House meant the company needed a permanent base in the area.

She said: We have steadily expanded our operations throughout North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire and now into the West Midlands.

“We are delighted to have opened our new offices in Wolverhampton which will enable us to better serve our growing client base in the area.

“We have recently completed phase one of a major refurbishment of Dudley Council House, with phase two now underway which involves further renovation of first-floor offices, including electrical, heating, decoration, flooring and new suspended ceilings.

“We have just started improvement work at an apartment block in Wednesbury on behalf of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. This is a significant project to refurbish 12 one-bedroom apartments, 16 three-bedroom apartments, and the construction of four new one-bedroom apartments.

“We are also due to get onsite soon at Forge Mill Farm in Sandwell Valley Country Park to refurbish a play barn and build an extension, including new kitchen and washroom facilities and an education room.

“These are exciting times for the firm with so many new projects taking place in the West Midlands. The new office represents the start of the next chapter for us as a company and we are looking forward to continuing our growth over the coming years.”
