The Five Ways Inn in Himley Road, reopened on Friday after Mike Westwood took on the pub as leaseholder, while his colleague Callum Nicholls will run it as manager.

The previous owners Ian and Wendy Harris had decided to sell and go down the redevelopment route, and planning permission had been approved.

However Mr Westwood, who has been drinking at the pub for the past 20 years, stepped in and was able to take it over.
