The former Bristow Uniform shop was run for many years by Geoff, left, and Les Bristow, but has now been taken over by Tina Burke and is called Lads & Lasses. She also has a shop in Wolverhampton and Bilbrook.

Geoff and Les Bristow opened what was eventually to become Bristow Club & School Supplies in 1976, originally selling sports gear.

But the pair branched out into selling school uniforms and over the years have provided clothing for thousands of pupils across Bridgnorth and the wider area.

For the last few decades, the pair's shop in Victoria Road has been the go-to destination for parents, but after 46 years, the pair have finally called it a day and retired.

"It has been a really enjoyable business," said Geoff, 74. "It has been enjoyable meeting so many people and building relationships with both individuals and schools.

"We will miss it but we are both now at a certain age."
